Multi-award-winning ecotourism resort, Kingfisher Bay Resort and Village is the place to pamper yourself after a hard day exploring the World Heritage wilderness of Fraser Island. Nestled among the tree-covered dunes on the edge of the calm blue waters of the Great Sandy Strait, this Fraser Island accommodation offers all the amenities of a modern resort while blending harmoniously with Fraser Island's sensitive ecological system.

Fraser Island is located off Queensland's East Coast, south of the Great Barrier Reef and north of Brisbane. From Brisbane, Fraser Island is 45 minutes by air or 4 hours by car. Fraser Island stretches for over 123 kilometres and is the world's largest sand island but by no means a desert as it features magnificent rainforest, beautiful fresh water lakes, spectacular Seventy-Five Mile Beach as well as shipwrecks and abundant wildlife. Fraser Island is a paradise for boating, fishing, swimming, exploring, bushwalking and four-wheel-driving. And Kingfisher Bay Resort & Village is the ideal setting from which to explore this amazing island.

Kingfisher Bay Resort is located on the western side of Fraser Island, directly opposite Hervey Bay. It is close to many of Fraser Island's major attractions. Kingfisher Bay Resort is set in a natural amphitheatre, surrounded by bush and wildlife and overlooks calm island water.

Please note: As part of the airport upgrade and to accommodate the arrival of jet services, the Hervey Bay Council has imposed passenger pick up and set down charges. Due to this charge, Kingfisher Bay Resort has had to introduce a fee for transfers between the airport and the Kingfisher Bay Mainland Reception, River Heads. This fee will be charged to room and accounts payable on check-out. The fee is $7 one-way per adult and $3.50 one way per child.
