Bay 4WD Hire have made self driving holidays to Fraser Island even easier with the range of packages available. The packages included 4X4 vehicle hire and access permit, camping equipment and permit or accommodation and return ferry transfers.

Accommodation offered in the packages ranges from the basic dorm style accommodation at Fraser Island Backpackers to 2 Bedroom Apartments at Eurong, with mid range properties in between.

Self Drive Fraser Island holidays are an excellent way to see the island, you have the independence to visit the major attractions at your leisure and the opportunity to take in some of the lesser frequented but equally spectacular spots on Fraser Island.

Fraser Island Beach Houses

Camping Safari: Fraser's at Cathedral Beach is the island's only private campground. Other on-site facilities include a convenience store and bottle shop, fuel, laundry as well as a children's playground.

75 Mile Beach also offers plenty of space for beach camping. While facilities are unavailable the position presents a perfect sunrise view and an excellent location for beach fishing.

Please note, some sections of 75 Mile Beach are "no camping" areas and are clearly marked.

Fraser's at Cathedral Beach: Offers a lush and quiet setting situated on 25 acres just north of Eli Creek. Accommodation options include self-contained two and three bedroom cabins or spacious level campsites. Facilities include a cafe, bottle shop, grocery store and picnic area. Shared bathroom facilities.

Eurong Beach Resort: Right on the beach with accommodation to suit all budgets, Eurong Beach Resort features modern motel rooms and self contained two bedroom apartments. Resort facilities include a large free form swimming pool, restaurant and bars, a bakery, coffee Shop and grocery Store.

Fraser Island Backpackers: Located at Happy Valley on the eastern beach, experience Fraser Island within budget and in style at the newest Backpacking Hostel on the Island. Facilities include ll rooms with Ensuite, a bar & bistro, swimming pool, convenience store and camp kitchen.

Fraser Island to Hervey Bay (River Heads):
8.30 am, 9.00 am, 1.30 pm, 2.30 pm, 4.00 pm
